Built to last 75 years !!
I was looking for a specialist bulb planter tool to take plugs of a self sown flat spreading grass in New Zealand called Mercury Bay ****. Nothing like it in the Bulk Chain hardware stores. Nothing like it on New Zealand TradeMe. Google was next.. Easily found on Botanex Australia site. I am very proud to have been delivered 2 x magnificent heavy gauge stainless steel, with a 75 year certified guarantee. Made by Burgon & Ball, a UK manufactured item, is now a treasure in my garden shed. To claim on the guarantee, I will have to pass the paperwork with the beautifully made tool to my grandchildren. The English manufacturers of specialist garden and contracting tools were masters of the craft for many centuries. Well done to Botanex Australia to source and represent such a high quality tool. 10 stars for having confidence to sell high end products in todays throw away society. I searched on Google for a Bulb planter trowel. It was in fact wanted to take plugs of a special type of lawn from a self sown flat leafed all season grass often used in lawn bowling greens.
