The blade cuts down onto the cutting block. This method is more powerful but as it causes some crushing of the stem it is not recommended for young, live, stems.
For old/deadwood which tends to harden up and require much more effort to cut, this is the best tool for the job.

Express orders are prioritised and ship same-day when placed before 2:30 PM.

We now offer local pickup from 14 Loftus Street, Bowral, NSW 2576 from Mon-Fri 8am - 4pm.
After payment and order confirmation, we will get your order ready and send you another email indicating it is ready for collection.
Please reply to the email with an ETA so that we can ensure everything is 100% ready to pick up seamlessly.
Local Pickup is not available on Weekends, or NSW Public Holidays
Missed Deliveries & Returns
If your order is returned to us (due to incorrect address, missed delivery, or non-collection), a small re-shipping fee may apply.
Once your parcel leaves our hands, the courier takes over — but we’ll always try our best to help if anything goes off-track.
Please note, courier delays are outside our control, but if we’ve made an error on our end, we’ll make it right.

I’ve used these pruners for many years. They are always reliable and fail safe. No springs dropping out or screws slipping and loosening the blades like cheaper pruners. Burgon and Ball are endorsed by the Royal Horticultural Society. Once you’ve used Burgon and Ball Ratchet Pruners you will see why they have that endorsement.

The pruner is good. Does the job. It’s just that from the pictures/price/description I would have thought it to be a bit moe sturdy and heavily built but it just perceptions nothing wrong with it. Service was flawless fron Botanex.
