Originating from Japan during the Middle Ages around the 16th century, the Hori Hori knife has been used for centuries by gardeners worldwide. The word ‘Hori’ means ‘to dig’ in Japanese, and this knife lives up to its name with its bent ridged and razor-sharp blade, making it perfect for digging or cutting through roots or hard soil.
Crafted from high-quality Stainless Steel, this knife is designed to last while its Ashwood handle helps to give a comfortable grip.
This knife is a great all rounder in the garden, featuring a saw edge, making it ideal for cutting through thicker branches or woody plants. And with cm and inch markings etched on the blade, it can be used as a measuring tool when planting bulbs or determining the depth of a hole for replanting seedlings.
To protect your Hori Hori Knife, it comes with a sheath that can be easily attached to your belt or gardening apron so that your knife is always within reach when you need it, and protects both the blade and user from accidental cuts or scrapes.

We now offer local pickup from 14 Loftus Street, Bowral, NSW 2576 from Mon-Fri 8am - 4pm.
After payment and order confirmation, we will get your order ready and send you another email indicating it is ready for collection.
Please reply to the email with an ETA so that we can ensure everything is 100% ready to pick up seamlessly.
Local Pickup is not available on Weekends, or NSW Public Holidays
Missed Deliveries & Returns
If your order is returned to us (due to incorrect address, missed delivery, or non-collection), a small re-shipping fee may apply.
Once your parcel leaves our hands, the courier takes over — but we’ll always try our best to help if anything goes off-track.
Please note, courier delays are outside our control, but if we’ve made an error on our end, we’ll make it right.
