HAWS Replacement Watering Can Rose - Brass Oval Spray
Choose the spray pattern that matches the job. All four Haws oval roses are made from solid brass, fit the No.3 Brass ferrule, and are compatible with the Warley Fall, Warley Fall HDG, and Cradley Cascader Deluxe watering cans.
The oval face produces a wider, fan-shaped spray than a round rose, making it ideal for watering beds, borders, seedlings, and outdoor plantings.
Compare the four spray types
| Spray Type | Droplet Size | Flow Rate | Coverage | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Extra Fine (320-1) | Very small | Slow | Wide | Seeds, seedlings, and delicate propagation |
| Fine (320-2) | Small | Medium | Wide | Young plants and everyday gentle watering |
| Fine – High Flow (320-2a) | Small | Fast | Wide |
Faster watering without increasing droplet size Includes a Green Outdoor Can Downspout. |
| Coarse (320-3) | Large | Fast | Wide | Established outdoor plants and beds |
Extra Fine Spray (320-1)
The gentlest spray in the Haws oval range. Produces a soft mist of very small droplets that waters slowly and evenly without disturbing soil or washing away seeds.
Ideal for: Newly sown seeds, Seedlings, Propagation trays, Delicate young plants
Fine Spray (320-2)
A balanced spray for general garden watering. Delivers small droplets evenly across a broad area, making it suitable for young plants and routine watering tasks.
Ideal for: Young vegetables and herbs, Flower seedlings, Garden beds, Everyday watering
Fine Spray – High Flow (320-2a)
The same fine droplet size as Fine Spray, but with more holes in the rose, allowing significantly more water to pass through. This means you can water faster while maintaining a gentle spray.
Ideal for: Larger garden beds, Frequent watering, Faster coverage with gentle droplets, Gardeners who want precision and speed
Coarse Spray (320-3)
Produces larger droplets and a heavier spray, delivering water quickly across a wide area. Best suited to established plants where soil disturbance is not a concern.
Ideal for: Mature shrubs, Perennials, Outdoor containers, Established garden beds
Which spray should I choose?
- Extra Fine – maximum protection for seeds and seedlings
- Fine – the best all-round option for most gardeners
- Fine – High Flow – gentle watering with a faster output
- Coarse – quickest watering for established plants
All spray heads are solid brass, naturally corrosion resistant, and may develop a patina over time through handling and exposure. This does not affect performance.

Manufactured from their factory in Birmingham, Haws take pride in designing and delivering the finest quality watering cans.
John Haws first worked out his improved design and method of manufacture from a French made waterpot (or can as they are now called) and designed a can with perfection.
Whether full, half full or empty the can could be used without undue strain to the operator. To this day, the original design has not been altered in any major way.
John soon designed and patented his very own watering can. A can with a canister body and breast to prevent spillages while pouring. It had two handles, one for carrying and one for tipping. It was soon recognized by top gardeners and in 1894 received the National Chrysanthemum Society Gold Medal award for his improved watering can.
"This new invention forms a watering pot that is much easier to carry and tip, and at the same time being much cleaner, and more adapted for use than any other put before the public."
