OPINEL Le Petit Childs Chef Knife + Finger Guard
Inspire a love of cooking from a young age. This gorgeous knife and finger guard set is just the right size for a child to handle. Its rounded off and strong blade is perfect to cut and slice thinly. The educationnal ring helps to position well fingers and to prevent the hand from sliding on the blade.
Knife Blade length: 10cm
Blade Material: X50CrMoV15 stainless steel is highly anti-corrosive and ensure a perfect cut. Blade hardness 56-57 HRC
Handle Material: Beech is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles. From France, our beech is hard, durable and easy to work. With a homogeneous appearance, its light color varies from yellow to pink. It is characterized by the presence of numerous small dark dashes.
***Le Petit Chef set is recommended for ages 7+. It is up to the parents to judge the child's autonomy and maturity. This knife must be used under the supervision of an adult.
ABOUT OPINEL:
Victor-Amédée Opinel who was a peddler, learnt how to forge nails during his travels. He set up his first blacksmith workshop in Gevoudaz, a hamlet part of Albiez-le-Vieux, near Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. His son Daniel later worked alongside his father and grew to became a renowned “edgetool maker”(maker of sharp tools) among farmers who came from afar to buy his billhooks or sickles...
Fast forward to the new millenium and the Opinel pocket knife is recognised as one of the 999 most successful designs of all times by a jury of international designers in the beautiful three-volume set of the "Phaidon Design Classics"

We now offer local pickup from 14 Loftus Street, Bowral, NSW 2576 from Mon-Fri 8am - 4pm. After payment and order confirmation, we will get your order ready and send you another email indicating it is ready for collection. Please reply to the email with an ETA so that we can ensure everything is 100% ready to pick up seamlessly.
Local Pickup is not available on Weekends, or NSW Public Holidays
Missed Deliveries & Returns
If your order is returned to us (due to incorrect address, missed delivery, or non-collection), a small re-shipping fee may apply. Once your parcel leaves our hands, the courier takes over but we’ll always try our best to help if anything goes off-track. Please note, courier delays are outside our control, but if we’ve made an error on our end, we’ll make it right.
