OPINEL N8 Folding Animalia Woodcut - Individual and 6 Piece Set
The No°08 Oak Engraved Handle Folding Knife - Animalia is a distinguished addition to Opinel's Animalia collection, showcasing pre-engraved designs that celebrate wildlife from across the globe, including species such as fish and bison. This compact pocket knife, featuring an oak wood handle, is designed to fit comfortably in any hand, making it an ideal companion for your pocket or bag.
Crafted from Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel, the blade is both anti-corrosive and low-maintenance, with a carbon content of at least 0.40% that guarantees an exceptional cutting edge and ease of sharpening.
The wood used in the handle is sourced from ecologically managed French woodlands in the Alpine region and Jura mountains, adhering to stringent standards for social responsibility and environmental sustainability.
Equipped with the Virobloc® safety ring, the knife ensures secure opening and closing, providing peace of mind during use. The patented locking mechanism, developed in 1955, allows for secure blade operation, with the locking ring twisting clockwise to close during transport and counterclockwise to prevent folding during use.
Since 1909, all Opinel blades have been stamped with the Crowned Hand emblem, symbolising the blessing hand of Saint Jean-Baptiste and the original duchy of Savoie.
Available Animalia Variants
Each knife features a unique wildlife engraving on the oak handle:
- Chamois
