I run my own gardening business, and use a bicycle for transport. So my tools should ideally serve multiple functions. This one serves as a spade, shovel, garden fork, mulch fork, and lever. It largely comes down to the sharp tip. It breaks the ground better than any other tool (including fork) that I've tried. It also gets into coarse mulch, where most spades and shovels will stop at medium. The breaking strain is far more than my body weight, so it should last. It is also well balanced and angled, so is comfortable to use. As usual, Botanex were easy to deal with - functional website, easy transaction, efficient freight.
